Pertemps Isle of Wight are actively seeking aircraft fitters to join our client, on a temp to perm basis.
As a successful aircraft fitter, you will join a team of skilled technicians to support the production and manufacturing of specific parts. Training will be provided to successful candidates, and career progression will be available.
As a successful aircraft fitter, you will be responsible for.
- Manufacture aircraft components from aluminium sheet metal, using tools, forming, pressing, routing and by hand.
- Manufacture detail assembles, mainly metal components riveting, countersinking, de-burring, bonding and sealing.
- Manufacture parts using CNC mills and lathes.
- Manufacture fuel pipes, pilot pipes, brake pipes and other similar pipes using copper, tungum and other materials.
- Working to meet drawing requirements.
- Record progress of tasks
- Complete tasks in accordance with company procedures.
- Adhere to factory health and safety procedures at all times.
This role is to be based on 40 hours per week, between Monday and Friday. A permanent contract will be offered to the right candidates after a period of 3 to 6 months.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience within in a similar engineering environment.
