Job Title: Agile Software Project ManagerLocation: Cardiff (Hybrid)Salary/Rate: £475-£530 per dayStart Date: 03/06/24Job Type: Contract - Inside IR35Company IntroductionWe have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading Data Analytics clients! They are currently looking for a passionate Software Project Manager with solid Agile knowledge to manage projects and support product delivery for our Business Services software development teams. Job Responsibilities/ObjectivesAs a Software Project Manager, you will be an essential member of our team, managing a diverse range of software projects and activities. 1. Support 2-3 cross-functional agile product development teams as they efficiently deliver features and exciting capabilities (teams are usually between 4 - 8 members, depending on the deliverables)2. Work closely with the Software Development Lead and Product Owner to ensure that the teams remain closely synchronised and upcoming features are well planned3. Ensure project resources and budgets are tracked and kept up to date.4. Develop and distribute timely status reporting with key metrics to appropriate stakeholders.5. Create, manage and share delivery plans, providing visibility of progress6. Own and manage dependencies, ensuring the timely resolution, mitigating where needed or escalating where missed dependencies will impact the teams delivery.7. Identify project risks & issues, escalating where appropriate in a timely manner; ensure impacts are communicated so all parties are aligned; partner with project stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate project impacts8. Make recommendations for improvements to existing processes and procedures9. Ensure timely use of project and technology tools to help drive accountability.Required Skills/ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have the following:1. Previous proven project leadership experience2. Strong experience in Scrum or Kanban.3. SDLC knowledge and experience managing web based application projects4. Present information in a concise and effective manner, ensuring messages are received, understood and all parties are aligned5. Motivate or inspire others to aim for higher levels of achievement6. Adopt new ways of doing things in pursuit of adding value to customers and the team7. Actively foster diversity and inclusion, valuing and respecting differences to achieve team harmony and enable higher team performance8. Learn from challenging experiences, recover and continue making progress towards objectives without reducing pace9. Align short-term priorities with strategic and long-term objectivesDesirable Skills/ExperienceAlthough not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:1. Experience working with JIRA; including generating dashboards, and bespoke filters.2. Experience working with matrixed/shared teams3. Experience working with MS Office and Atlassian tools4. Experience in a Scrum Master role5. Certified Scrum Master6. Project governance certification7.
