We are looking for an Agile Coach who will lead and facilitate adopting and improving Agile principles and practices within our teams.You’ll work in a central team that aims to reduce friction in our change processes and create an environment where our teams can excel.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of agile frameworks, particularly Kanban, experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, and a strong background in software development or related fields. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, guiding them towards becoming high-performing, self-organising units that deliver value to our customers efficiently and effectively.What does the job involve?Team Coaching: Coach and mentor teams and individuals on agile methodologies, helping them understand and embrace agile principles and practices.Continuous Improvement: Work with the Agile Practices Team to identify opportunities for process improvements and work collaboratively with teams to implement changes that enhance productivity andquality.Collaboration and Communication: Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and transparency among teams, stakeholders, and leadership.Metrics and Reporting: Utilise a pre-existing framework for measuring pace of change and developer satisfaction to help identify areas of improvement.Training and Workshops: Organize and facilitate agile training sessions, workshops, and events to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with agile principles and goals, and manage expectations effectively.Problem Solving: Assist teams in identifying and resolving impediments and roadblocks that hinder their progress.About you:The essential:Proven experience as an Agile Coach in a corporate environment.In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks such as Kanban, LEAN or Scrum.Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry best practices.Experience working with C-Suite and Business teams outside of Technology Services.Experience working in an Agile and DevOps environment.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.The nice to have:Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, BitBucket and OpsGenie.Lived experience working in Agile methodologies such as Kanban.Certifications such as Certified Agile Coach (CAC), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other Agile Certifications are a plus.A background in software development or related fields is highly desirable.Experience running Agile Ceremonies, such as retrospectives and stand-ups.Agile Certifications, for example, Certified Scrum Master or Product Owner.About us:AJ Bell is one of the fastest-growing investment platform businesses in the UK offering an award-winning range of solutions that caters for everyone, from professional financial advisers, to DIY investors with little to no experience.
