Agency Sales Director (Ad-Tech Sales)

Job summary
This is a pivotal role within the digital team reporting to the Head of Digital Advertising in London and carries a big responsibility to continue the solid growth of global programmatic revenue and set in motion a programmatic strategy to realise ambitious growth targets. This key appointment will suit an entrepreneurial character to hunt new business but also provide support for the international sales teams who are also looking to increase programmatic sales within their own markets.
Main Responsibilities
Create a clear go to market strategy for the business’ programmatic products by market after a comprehensive review of our current offerings.
Develop new and build on existing relationships with programmatic buyers initially in the UK/Europe, then globally through regular meetings, calls and recommendations. You will coordinate strategic initiatives with selected partners.
Liaise with marketing to review all sales material related to programmatic selling that this role and all sales teams will use.
Grow awareness and generate demand around our ad inventory offer and create a reputation of innovation for our client in the marketplace.
Identify and execute new trading opportunities, including PMP’s and guaranteed deals across our entire portfolio of inventory including desktop, mobile web, app, YouTube Inventory, Audience Extension and CTV
Work closely with our Programmatic & Ad Tech lead and collaborate on all aspects of programmatic revenue.
Working with the Programmatic Ad Tech Lead to also build custom ad packages for premium programmatic partners and support revenue growth in new markets.
Evangelise the business at Programmatic events to act as a brand ambassador by attending and representing our media.
Skills
Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital programmatic sales is a must, preferably from a media owner with an extensive list of trading desk/agency/client direct contacts.
A further 2 years digital selling experience gained in a publisher or buy side business.
Have a deep understanding of the global programmatic marketplace and where the business can add value to buyers.
Significant experience in sell-side business development and media sales
Strong relationships across the digital & programmatic community
Deep understanding and knowledge of the programmatic landscape and selling revenue-generating opportunities
Experience with ad technologies, such as DSPs, DMPs, measurement vendors (e.g., fraud, viewability, etc.) and data providers
Consultative selling skills with the ability to anticipate and overcome concerns by positioning value propositions in relation to client needs.
Active with key industry events, trends, and emerging ad technologies
Excellent communication skills with an ability to address business and technical audiences
Exceptional presentation skills
Ability to adapt and work in a small but entrepreneurial atmosphere
Ability to foster relationships and address internal and external client issues
Ability to make data-driven decisions
Able to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
Experience of managing and nurturing members of their team.
