has an exciting opportunity for an Aerospace & Defence Sales Manager with responsibility for the EMEA region. Located in the UK, or other European location ideally within close proximity of one of our offices.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for growing hosting, services, and software revenue in EMEA for the Fleet, Aerospace Manufacturer and Defense market. The post holder person must be highly self-motivated, customer satisfaction oriented, sales and revenue-driven and a problem solver. The Sales Manager must develop sales strategies and understand the critical issues of all existing and potential enterprise clients.

Based out of Boulder, Colorado with offices throughout the world (UK, Denmark, Norway, Germany, France, India), Flatirons Solutions works with customers such as Rolls Royce, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, Pratt and Whitney, SAFRAN, Thales among many others. Flatirons Solutions provides authoring, content management, distribution and viewing, as well as maintenance execution for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for growing sales revenue in EMEA for all solutions
Responsible for engaging with our customers and prospects, understanding their business challenges, and working with Engineering operations team to define our technical and commercial response to those challenges.
Work closely with colleagues to write technical portions of RFP/RFI response and to develop technical White Papers. Ensuring consistency and quality on response.
Help educate our customers and prospects in industry best practice and articulate the value proposition that makes our solutions such a compelling offer.
Create and improve Sales Engineering related artifacts based on lessons learned.
Liaison with marketing to coordinate marketing activities for your market.
Work with lead generation team to target specific accounts and engage with prospects.
Work with marketing to produce ROI statements for justifying prospect implementation of our solutions.
Report on sales pipeline and activity to executive team
Manage reporting and administration of NetSuite CRM for responsible accounts.
Attend conferences and trade shows relevant to your geographical market.
Cultivate relationships with prospects and current customers to grow sales pipeline.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, Business, or Computer Science.
Ability to travel without restrictions up to 30%.
3 years of B2B software sales experience.
Demonstrable market knowledge within the Aerospace and Defence industry, ideally with significant experience in developing, managing and leading key strategic sales campaigns within this sector.
Understanding of multi-layered sales within an organization (Enterprise Selling).
Ability to act independently and be self-motivated.
Ability to work remotely.
