Advanced Practitioner Social Worker - Adult Community MHSocial CareAdult ServicesNorthern Care Alliance NHS Foundation TrustClick to apply here: A fixed term or secondment vacancy has arisen for an Advanced Practitioner Social Worker, to be based at Ramsgate House Adult Community Mental Health Team.You will provide positive leadership, support and advice to social work staff and assist the Team Manager in ensuring the delivery of effective services for adults through the promotion of high standards of practice in assessment and care planning.You should be an experienced practice educator and ASYE assessor and support student social workers and newly qualified social workers. You will need to demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations, assessing and managing higher levels of risk while promoting enablement and self-determination. You will need to network and liaise with a wider range of professionals and other colleagues, including at more senior or strategic levels. As the advanced practitioner social work you are expected to promote a culture of professional curiosity and contribute to the positive social work identity within the organisation. You will take the lead on safeguarding for Ramsgate House, providing advice and support to the MDT and act as the chair, leading on investigations.Staff wellbeing is important at Ramsgate House and we offer regular social work peer support groups, reflective practice groups, mindfulness and other team activities The post holder will support and provide professional supervision to social workers working in the CMHT.The post holder will also:Provide positive leadership, support, professional consultation and advice to all staff at the CMHT.Provide consultation and guidance with respect to complex social care practice issues to care coordinators and senior staff within the team.Assist the Team Manager in providing clinical leadership to the team and ensuring effective service delivery by promoting high standards of practice.Act as Care Coordinator in line with the Care Programme Approach and carry a significantly reduced caseload in recognition of other duties.Carry out social work duties in relation to complex cases, requiring the highest levels of skills, knowledge and professional expertise.The post holder will report to the CMHT Team Manager for day to day management.
