You'll lead a talented team in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions. Your role will involve providing technical leadership, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex data projects.Here’s where you’ll make the difference:Lead and mentor a team of data engineersArchitect and implement robust, scalable data solutions to support our legacy to cloud platform journey (GCP and Microsoft)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and drive data monetisationDefine and enforce best practices for data engineering, coding standards, and documentationLead the development and maintenance of Master Data Management, ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousesEnsure data security, compliance, and performance optimizationStay current with industry trends and technologies, providing thought leadership to the team Why Lloyds Banking Group Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Join us on our journey and you will too!What you will needProven experience in leading the data engineering efforts to release value at pace whilst balancing the need to move to target infrastructure.Experience in leading a mix of cloud-based and legacy data engineering teamsExpertise in cloud platforms GCP and data engineering technologiesIn-depth knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQLFamiliarity with data warehousing concepts and toolsExperience with data integration tools and frameworksExcellent communication and leadership skillsExperience in working in a fast-paced agile environment About working for us Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.
