Adult’s SW – Disability Team

We would like to hear from experienced and dedicated Disability Social Workers wanting to join our team in Wales on 08/05/#####.
To be successful in this role, you will be HCPC registered and demonstrate an excellent knowledge of social work practice. You need to show flexibility and calm under pressure as you will be managing caseloads of varying complexity, focused around assessing and managing the risk involved in protecting vulnerable children and young people in order to prevent harm and abuse.
In addition, you will have relevant, up to date experience and qualifications for working with disability as well as a detailed understanding of associated legislation and procedures.
We will require successful applicants to undertake child protection investigations, act as key worker to children and young people with a CPP and undertake all related statutory responsibilities. We also require that you support social workers’ development by acting as mentor and undertake duties of a practice teacher when required.
Finally, you will be aware of any research evidence and apply it in practice whilst assessing and planning implementation and evaluation of the care we provide, ensuring that resources are effectively utilised.
