To ensure that we are able to execute our operations effectively and profitably, and that we are delivering an effective service to our clients. To maintain supply databases and KPI's. To validate supplier compliance using our SCAD (supply chain database) system. The role includes:Supporting purchasing within operations and the plant departmentEnsure that subcontract and material orders are placed using the company invoicing/payment system and all orders are accompanied by the business requirements Negotiate rates and payment terms with our subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the business is getting value for moneyTo monitor and maintain/liaise with external suppliers to validate supplier complianceProvide support to the Buyer in obtaining quotes and placing orders with external and internal suppliersWork closely with the whole process teamManage the collation of daily site figures onto the business systemEnsure all site communications are directed effectively and in a timely manner. Ensure all procurement KPI's are provided monthly to the business unit managerBe fully conversant in MS Office to produce spreadsheets, documents and presentations as requiredAssist with the admin department when requiredDevelop an in-depth knowledge of the business management system. Comply with the business management system, including participating in external and internal auditsEnsure compliance with business policies, strategy's and proceduresProvide support to the Operations Coordinator/Buyer and Yard Coordinator Salary is circa £25-30k dependant on experience.ProfileThe successful candidate will need admin experience in a busy office environment, as well as great organisation, communication and team-working skills. In addition, good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. They will need to maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure everything work done is compliant with our business strategy and procedures.The following qualities/experience are required:Secretarial and/or administrative experienceHighly organised and able to work on own initiativeExcellent team working skills, and able to build relationships at all levelsAbility to work well under pressure and to tight timescalesVery strong customer focusExcellent typing speed and IT skills including Microsoft OfficeWhy us?Menard brings over 30 years of experience in the design and build of specialist ground improvement solutions in the UK.
