Job Title: ARBOR Trained Attendance Officer with Reception Duties Support

Location: Wavertree, Liverpool

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ARBOR trained Attendance Officer who is passionate about promoting excellent attendance and punctuality among our students. In addition to managing attendance records and liaising with families to address attendance issues, this role will also involve providing support with reception duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise ARBOR system to accurately record and monitor student attendance.
  • Implement strategies to improve attendance and punctuality, working closely with families, staff, and external agencies as necessary.
  • Produce reports and analyse attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Act as a point of contact for attendance-related queries from parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support with reception duties, including answering phone calls, welcoming visitors, and handling inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the wider school team to ensure a smooth running of administrative processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ARBOR training and experience is essential.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of attendance policies and procedures within the education sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with parents/guardians and colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and ARBOR software.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support with reception duties as required.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
