Job Title: Admin Assistant and Despatch Operative
Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Type: Permanent
Hours: 25 - 37 hours per week Monday - Friday
Salary: �15.69 p/h

My client is looking to recruit an Admin Assistant/Despatch Operative to join their team. They are a market leader within their industry, and supply a blue-chip client based globally from their locations in the Southwest.

The main function of the role is to support general administration within the sales, production control and despatch department but also provide occasional support in despatch as an Operative.

This role will see you covering a variety of duties including:

  • Administrative duties including filing, scanning, dealing with customer and archiving of documents, handling emails, answering phone calls, taking messages and input of data.
  • Sales order processing including customer quotations, purchase orders and schedules.
  • Dealing with customers daily via email and telephone.
  • Updating production schedules with manufacturing, ensuring deliveries commitments are met.
  • Preparation of shipping documentation, and communication with freight forwarders.
  • Picking of orders and packing for despatch
  • Labelling and ensuring correct courier/haulier collections.
  • Assisting with all department stock queries
  • Manual handling will be required as the role can be physical.

Skills/Experience required:

  • Previous experience within a similar role (Administration and Despatch)
  • Computer literate in Microsoft office systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience of ERP systems beneficial but not essential, training will be provided.
  • A basic understanding of engineering manufacturing methods and processes would be an advantage.

The working hours for the role will be 25-37 hours a week, which must be worked over a 5 day pattern through Monday - Friday.
