Your new companyWe are seeking an experienced Adaptations Building Surveyor to join a Local Authority team on a temporary contract basis for 6 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance on building adaptations, repairs, and maintenance to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.Your new roleKey ResponsibilitiesConducting site visits and surveys to assess the condition of buildings and identify necessary adaptations, repairs, and maintenance.Providing technical advice and guidance on building adaptations, repairs, and maintenance to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.Preparing detailed reports and specifications for building works.Liaising with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure that works are completed to a high standard and within budget.Ensuring that all works comply with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.Advise clients, Occupational Therapists and colleagues on schemes and their feasibility.Assist the Caseworker and Grants officer with the preparation of documents for grant applicationsManage and monitor projects to ensure successful completion and delivery on scheduleWhat you'll need to succeedA degree in Building Surveying or a related field is desirable.At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.Excellent knowledge of building regulations and legislation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.Full UK driving licence.What you'll get in returnFlexible working options are available.Competitive hourly rateLong-term contractPotential for permanent opportunitiesWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
