We are looking for an Actuary in our Actuarial Reporting and Analysis team to lead the delivery and analysis of the Group’s actuarial reporting requirements (IFRS, Solvency II and reinsurance reporting). The role will also support the development and maintenance of these actuarial reporting metrics.ResponsibilitiesProduction of the actuarial information required to support the Group’s internal and external reporting of IFRS and Solvency II, as well as the information required for planning & analysis of these metricsDelivery of reinsurer reporting requirements in line with Group treatiesDevelopment and maintenance of Group-wide methodology to be deployed in actuarial systems required to fulfil the team’s objectivesTo support the Heads of Financial and Capital Reporting and Analysis to set the bases required for actuarial reporting and analysis purposesTo ensure timely testing of the tools developed by the Actuarial Systems team for actuarial reporting and analysis purposesTo develop and improve the reporting processes used for actuarial reporting and analysis purposesTo represent the team and provide actuarial expertise to define actuarial requirements on projects and other change programme initiativesTo support the development of responses to requests from UK regulators and other third partiesTo operate a robust control framework for the production of results including maintaining appropriate documentation and compliance with relevant requirements (including TASs)Skills & ExperienceQualified ActuaryKnowledge of insurance products and markets, including UK reporting regulationsExperience of an actuarial reporting function, ideally with experience of annuities and LTMAble to assess materiality of issues and determine appropriate course of actionStrong communication skills with ability to convey complex concepts to team managementGood problem analysis and resolution skillsGood verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise mannerAwareness of the products and services provided by the GroupDetailed working knowledge of relevant business processesLeadership and influencing skillsUnderstanding of people resource requirementsAble to manage smaller defined projects with other stakeholders in the companyCompany BenefitsA Competitive Salary, Pension Scheme and Life AssuranceAlong with 25 Days Annual Leave plus an Additional Day on us for your BirthdayPrivate Medical Cover and Income Protection, just in caseA generous and highly achievable bonus scheme – paid annually based on individual and company performance against targetsOpportunity to progress within your career both in-role and within the companyFREE access to the Headspace App, a 24/7 Employee Assistance Helpline and Trained Physical & Mental Health First Aiders (On-Site)A variety of Employee Funded Benefits available to you via our Online Benefits PortalPlus, several additional purchase options available for you and your loved ones
