Activities Coordinator (Cooking Experience Needed)Location: ChaileySalary: £18,720 (30 hours), £20,280 (32.5 hours), £23,088 (37.5 hours)Our clients Foundation is a leading charity dedicated to providing exceptional education and care for children and young adults with complex neurodisabilities, physical disabilities and health needs. Their state-of-the-art facilities and expert staff create a nurturing environment where individuals can thrive, reach their full potential and make a difference to their lives and that of their families.The RoleYou will be planning and delivering engaging fun and developmental activity sessions to adults with complex needs.Plan activities and sessions you will be involved with which could be; cooking, arts/games/ music and other activities club within the leisure and skills centre.Lead on the delivery of the Cooking Session provisionPrepare workspaces and equipment in advance of session start times, as well as ensuring workspace is kept tidy at all times.Implement and comply with health and safety procedures, in relation to the equipment used and activities undertaken.Maintain cooking equipment to a high standard and arranging repair / replacement of items promptly when needed.Work in accordance with food hygiene regulations and mandatory trainingComplete all admin duties associated with the rolePrepare information/data required by senior managers for reports/papersProvide different forms in different formats (email, written, verbal)Document and celebrate achievements and activities undertaken by the individuals accessing sessionsEvaluate event/activity feedback to assess effectiveness/opportunities for improvementSkills and ExperienceGCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in Maths and EnglishFood Hygiene level 2 or willingness to work towardsFirst Aid qualification or willingness to work towardsAble to support children and young adults to participate in a range of activities.Experience leading/delivering activitiesPractical experience/understanding of young people with disabilities and barriers and how to apply to arranging activities and eventsHighly organised, and able to multi-task.Experience of working with children and/or adults with special educational needs and complex disabilities(Desirable)BenefitsIn addition to a competitive salary, they provide access to:Discount facilitiesEnhanced Pension SchemeHealthcare CashplanCycle to Work scheme.Employee Assistance ProgrammeHealth & Wellbeing CentreDeath in Service benefitFree tea/coffee/kitchen facilitiesOnsite CaféFree parkingPlus, they cover the cost for all DBS checks and renewals!To ApplyIf you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for this reputable organisation, then please click apply to be redirected to their website to complete your application.JBRP1_UKTJ
