Telent are currently actively looking for an Acquisition Surveyor to join the Acquisition, Estates and Planning team as part of the wider Wireless division. This is mainly a remote working / work from home role, and will see you travel occasionally into a nearby office (Livingston, Warwick, Chatham) for collaborative purposes. You may also be needed to attend client site if and when required. This is a fantastic opportunity to flex your Telecoms or Utilities industry experience in a challenging yet rewarding Acquisition Surveyor role.

As an Acquisition Surveyor, you will play an important role in helping "Mobile Phone Operator" clients to improve connectivity and performance of their networks to meet the growing demands of customers by finding new mobile and telecommunications sites, upgrading existing sites and provide associated estates advice, all across the UK.

Acquisition Surveyor - What you'll do:

  • Conduct site searches that are fit for mobile and telecommunications equipment
  • Land ownership checks
  • ECC valuations
  • Attend client reviews and manage client reporting tools
  • Organise surveys, attend site meetings, liaise with colleagues, clients, and agents
  • Review of technical drawings
  • Securing consents
  • Negotiation of agreements
  • Manage a portfolio of telecom sites with Acquisition & Planning deliverables
  • Review legal documents and undertake land and property negotiations
  • Prepare town planning pre-application strategies and consultations
  • Prepare and submit planning applications to local planning authorities
  • Agreement renewals
  • Compile and manage programs of work and workloads
  • Provide project wide administrative support where and when required

Acquisition Surveyor - Who you are:

The successful Acquisition Surveyor will have already come from or is coming from a Telecommunications background, ideally with a minimum of circa 2 years of (Land / Site) Acquisition Surveying experience. Other associated industries that experience will be considered from include Utilities, Gas, Electricity and or Water. The ideal Acquisition Surveyor will have a change to get involved in exciting growth plans and join a team of Telecoms specialists who offer and end-to-end service from Design to Build. Telent are also able to confidently compete with major Tier 1 suppliers. Lastly, the Acquisition Surveyor will have the opportunity to work with an FRICS accredited professional; we are able to offer a structured professional qualification programme (MRICS) if you are on your path to Chartership.

Acquisition Surveyor - Key requirements:

  • Compile and manage programs of works and workloads
  • Support training of graduates/junior members of the Acquisition teams
  • Ensure accurate site by site records and commentary
  • Delivery of client milestone KPI's
  • Provide team/project wide support
  • Support Business Development (BD) activity
  • Help build client relationships
  • Business experience and transferable skills
  • Possess good IT skills
  • Possess good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team and with contractors
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets
  • Able to deal with continuous change
  • Possess a full UK driving licence
  • Telecoms / Telecommunications industry experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Property or Engineering qualifications or practical experience
  • An understanding of Town Planning & Highways procedures
