We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Acoustic Consultant with a background in Building/Architectural Acoustics to further develop their career. The organisation looking to recruit are a successful independent organisation, providing acoustic consultancy across all areas of the built environment with particular commitment to sustainable design of low energy, green buildings. The company work in a range of industry sectors including Education, Residential and Commercial. Acoustic Testing also plays a substantial part of the business with services including Sound Insulation testing, EIA's for schools, offices and residential developments and industrial, entertainment and noise impact assessments. Qualifications: Preferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration Experience: 5 years of senior post-graduate experience in Acoustic Consultancy within the Building/Architectural sector. A proven track record in effective project and financial management Ability to use and instruct others in the use of sound and vibration meters Highly organised and IT literate Exhibit excellent communication skills Ability to write fluent and intelligible reports, placing a high emphasis on accuracy and consistency Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package Strong project and people management skills are essential Duties Resolve complex acoustical engineering issues assuring compliance with statutory bodies Façade design Conduct Residential Planning Applications and Sound Insulation Design
Summarise data interpretations and provide conclusions Speech privacy and intelligibility Supervise and co-ordinate the work of others Carry out Sound Insulation testing with SITMA and UKAS accreditation Assessment of internal acoustic performance of buildings Manage project teams to ensure the production of deliverables to agreed timelines Financial forecasting and control of projects to ensure that they remain within budget Build client relationships, respond to enquiries, communicate with clients to establish their needs, and draft fee proposals Provide technical guidance and manage and train junior members of staff Contribute to group expansion and develop and maintain business through networking, contact nurturing, and presentations Benefits Extremely friendly and flexible working environment Competitive Salary Comprehensive Benefits Package Career Development Opportunities
