Are you an experienced accounts senior with a general practice skill-set, looking for a long-term career in a fantastic regional practice? We are currently searching for an experienced, enthusiastic accounts senior who is either part-qualified or newly-qualified ACA / ACCA. What's in it for you?Inhouse and externally provided training, including professional exams study support where relevantSalary sacrifice pensionOptional Medical benefitTech schemeCycle to work schemeRegular staff entertaining / team building eventsStandard hour working day is 9-5 but can flex to work 8-4 or 10-6Time off in lieu system for overtime, or paid overtime above certain discretionary thresholdsWhat will you be doing?Responsible for the day to day administration of client matters involving, but not limited to -Self-employed and partnership accountsPersonal tax returns and partnership tax returns, including for some high-net-worth individualsStatutory accounts preparation (FRS105 and FRS 102(1a) mainly, some IFRS for UK subsidiaries of international groups)Corporate tax returnsQuarter-end VAT reviews and in-year management accounts productionTax and business development planning around all of the aboveResponsible for overseeing more junior colleagues and assisting with their development.Interacting with the bookkeeping and payroll team members to ensure timely information transfer into summary accounts.Interacting with colleagues in our financial planning sister business to aid provision of cohesive wealth planning advice by that firmDevelop and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.Use your own initiative to resolve issues.What we're looking for:Minimum of two years practice experience, preferably three, ideally within a general practice environment.Iris / Sage 50 / Sage Online / QuickBooks Cloud / Xero / Dext / Excel knowledge is desirable, but training will be given.Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of current tax legislation.Good IT skillsExcellent communication skills (both written and oral).Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.Good numeracy skills.Demonstrates attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy.A good team player.Minimum GCSE's of C plus in Maths and English, with strong further results at GCSE and A-level (degree level education is not mandatory)Driving licenceAbility to work between two offices on a varied client base
