Job DescriptionPreparing financial statements for a wide range of businesses, including large and complex sole traders, partnerships and companies, including balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss analysis Preparation of VAT Returns, Bookkeeping & management accounts Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulationsCommunicating effectively with clients and building strong relationshipsIdentifying opportunities for business improvement and growthParticipating in strategic planning and decision-making processesMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developmentsProviding support and guidance to the team of assistants Assisting the assistant manager with ad-hoc duties where required
The Successful Applicant A successful Accounts Senior should have:A strong educational background in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldSuccessfully completed a recognised accountancy qualification (or be nearing the end of the qualification) or be qualified by experience with proven experience in a similar roleExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong knowledge of accounting standards and regulationsOutstanding communication with internal stakeholders and client relationship skillsWorking knowledge of Xero (although this is not essential as full training will be provided to the successful candidate) Experience in prioritising your workload and be able to complete work within the budgeted time and to the required deadlines
