Your new companyOur client is one of the largest privately owned export packing companies in Europe, with their office based in Leicester. They are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their company as soon as possible. You will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions related to both accounts receivable, as well as cover for Payroll within the organisation. There will be an opportunity to develop within the finance team, including exposure to the Accounts Payable function and becoming an integral part of the business.Your new roleThe Accounts Receivable & Payroll Administrator role will ultimately be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and handling payroll-related tasks. Their attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role. This role will suit someone with broad financial experience in transactional finance roles. Duties will include:Accounts ReceivableManages Accounts Receivable function by preparing and processing invoices for customers.Analyse transactional information to identify refunds, delinquent accounts, and insufficient payments.Resolve issues with delinquent accounts by contacting and working directly with customers.Ensure that accounts are accurately reconciled with bank statements.Monitoring budgets & interim reporting duties.PayrollSupport in preparing, processing, and distributing employee pay checks.Calculating wages, and any additional payments such as overtime or bonuses.Collaborating closely with HR to maintain accurate employee data, including changes in pay rates, shift payments, and overtime compensation.Initiating direct deposits for employee payments.Addressing employee queries related to time sheets, payslips, and other payroll matters.What you'll need to succeed ExperienceExperience working in a finance environment in a similar transactional role.Ideally, 1–3 years of administrative experience, particularly in Accounts Receivable.Exposure to Payroll processes, even if not in a dedicated payroll role.Knowledge of Sage 200 and Sage 50.Skills and CompetenciesAttention to Detail.Excellent Communication Skills.Good Time Management.Problem-Solving & Analytical.Flexibility & Adaptability.What you'll get in return Salary of £25k-£27k, depending on experience24 days holiday + bank holidaysPension schemePlease note: this role is fully office-based; hours are 8.30-5 (Mon-Fri).What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career. #4549641 - Joel Sam
