Accounts Payable Supervisor

The Business & OpportunityFantastic opportunity to join a renowned and established Leeds based business operating within the hospitality and leisure industry. They operate at venues of all sizes and have exclusivity at prominent sporting, entertainment and cultural locations across the UK.This current requirement is for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their successful £20m turnover operation. Although initially a 6-Month Contract, there is the chance of this progressing further, especially as the business is part of a wider global group, so future progression opportunities may exist.RequirementYou will take the lead on all accounts payable requirements and supervise a team of 2 Accounts Payable assistants. This will include:Input all supplier invoices onto Sage 200 accurately and allocated to the correct general ledger codes.Ensure sufficient authorisation is obtained to allow payment.Obtain supplier statements for use with account reconciliation and payment authorisation.Process weekly supplier payments submissionsLiaise with other Departments and build relationships with relevant suppliers to ensure accurate records.Supervision of accounts payable assistant and cover for absence if necessary.Collaboration with HOF to avoid overdue payments whilst maintaining an effective cashflow position.Meet deadlines set for completing purchase invoice processing.Ensure ICTs are received and processed in a timely manner for month end.Provide cover if necessary for other roles within Finance.Administrative tasks, I.E. filing and producing adhoc reports.Skills & Experience RequiredSimilar experience in a finance roleWorked in a busy environment with tight deadlines.Good levels of accuracyAbility to problem solve.Intermediate Excel skills.Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure.Passionate about delivering exceptional customer serviceWhat's On OfferA competitive salary of £24,000 - £28,00025 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.Option of working from home 1 day per week.Free on-site parkingBased on the East side of Leeds, they are conveniently located close to the motorway network, hence will appeal to candidates from Leeds, Castleford, Pontefract, Wakefield, Selby, Wetherby, York and further a-field.
