On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Accounts Payable Specialist
on an initial 2-month contract. As the Accounts Payable Specialist you will Maintain Purchase Ledger in an accurate and timely manner. Tasks include registering of invoices /credit notes received daily, processing receipt of goods, matching with purchase orders and ensuring controls at each stage agree with supporting records.
Role: Accounts Payable Specialist
Pay: �16 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Farnborough- hybrid 2/3 days onsite
Contract: Monday - Friday 37 hours per week, 2 months
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS
Responsibilities

  • Ensure all supplier invoices are processed in accordance with company procedures and audit regulations, carrying out any follow ups when necessary.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues. Ensure resolved queries are actioned and removed from query on a daily basis.
  • Processing of company credit cards
  • Prepare and process payments for fortnightly BACS payment runs to ensure suppliers are paid within agreed terms.
  • Perform Supplier reconciliations monthly for review and if required request copy invoices/credits.
  • Correspond with suppliers/sub-contractors and respond to enquiries.
  • Ensure Non-PO invoices are authorised, coded and processed along with full back-up
  • Prepare for month end close ensuring deadlines are met in accordance with financial calendars.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits.
  • Ad hoc reports/duties
  • Develop a good working relationship with all stakeholders in particular our procurement colleagues.


Essential Skills:

  • Experience liaising with vendors, agents, local councils
  • Project management skills, but also willing to learn and develop according to company tools and processes.
  • Investment Planning (CapEX).
  • Good stakeholder management skills, including excellent communication, customer focus and the ability to deliver on commitments.
  • A mind set to explore and work above and beyond, challenge current ways of working to develop new processes and ideas.
  • The ability to listen, understand and communicate information.
  • A strong interest in developing yourself.
  • An interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to make decisions based on evidence.
  • Evolve along with changing priorities within the business.
  • Flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent IT skill set.
