Accounts Payable Specialist - 6 Month ContractAs an Accounts Payable Specialist within Rovco, you will play a pivotal role in managing our supplier relationships and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain payment processes. Working on a 6-month contract, you will be responsible for communicating with suppliers, negotiating payment terms, and accurately tracking supply chain costs and payment schedules. Your efforts will directly impact our financial stability, cash flow management, and overall efficiency by facilitating timely and cost-effective payments to suppliers while maintaining positive relationships.Objectives & Responsibilities: Vaarst is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow, upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include:
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers through effective communication and negotiation of payment terms. Fostering strong supplier partnerships, ensure timely delivery of goods and services while optimising payment schedules.
Coordinate supply chain payment plans efficiently to ensure on-time and accurate payments to suppliers. Accurately track supply chain costs and payment schedules using spreadsheets and financial software. Provide regular updates on expenditure forecasts and potential cost-saving opportunities to key stakeholders internally, enabling informed decision-making and proactive budget management. Qualification and experience in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) for meticulous financial data tracking and analysis Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective negotiation and correspondence with suppliers Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet payment deadlines Experience in finance, supply chain, or procurement roles is desirable Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Xero) is a plus Benefits At Vaarst, we’re committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
