Accounts Payable Clerk

Based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire our client is a leading company in their industry, looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit someone with previous experience of accounts payable, including matching of POs to invoices. Ideally with experience of working in an organisation which holds and manages stock.

This company has a turnover over �100million, they have incredible facilities available to their customers and are known leaders in their field. This role will report into the transactions manager and be apart of a wider team of 5, covering both Accounts Payable and Credit Control. You will also be responsible for processing some of the company's largest invoices, therefore high attention to detail is required for this role.

The successful individual will have a proven experience of all elements of transactional accounting including reconciliations. The candidate should have effective communication and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and able to deal with complex reconciliations. They must have strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems.

Duties will include:

• Processing and matching stock supplier invoices
• Dealing with PO numbers
• Dealing with supplier queries and bring quick resolutions
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Preparing and checking payment runs
• Process and reconcile credit card receipts
• Bank receipts processing
• Dealing with company car insurance
• Dealing with company fuel cards
• Ad-hoc duties as required by line manager
