Accounts Payable Administrator (FTC 12 Months) Please note, this role is a 12 month FTC.Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader you will be required to perform accounts payable transaction processing responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate must be prepared to take ownership or escalate queries, delivering high quality and consistent service both internally and externally, within an acceptable timescale. Through their work, they will provide the highest possible level of commitment and service consistent with the quality procedures for this position.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCheck validity and completeness of invoices/credit notesProcess invoices/credit notes on SAP system and Kestrel system(including EDI's)Return exceptions (e.g. unmatched invoices) to appropriate person/business area for approvalCode invoices/credit notes to correct nominal ledger codesTake action to ensure that all creditor balances are maintained within agreed terms.Deal with supplier payment queries promptly, sending remittance copies when requiredEnsure all queries are promptly resolved, liaising with other departments as appropriateReconcile supplier statements within the appropriate timescalesProvide support where necessary to complete the weekly and monthly pay runsEnsure the meeting of all monthly targetsTo continuously review processes to improve efficiency and reduce costsProvide accurate and on time, such accountancy support as required by your supervisorTo respect the confidentiality of the job, ensuring privileged info is not divulged and kept in a secure placeEnsure all tasks, are performed according to the procedure manuals, reporting any deviance to your managerRequirementsESSENTIALGood team playerGood interpersonal and communication skillsAchieving accurate resultsSelf-motivated with enthusiasm to succeedResilient and resourcefulExperience of using SAP systemDESIRABLEKnowledge, experience of KestrelIntermediate Excel Skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables)BenefitsCompetitive starting salaryBonus earning potential25 days holiday + 8 days bank holidayGreat pension scheme starting at employee (EE) contribution of 4% with an employer (ER) contribution of 11%.
