Accounting Manager - Operations

Our finance and accounting teams play an instrumental part in supporting Hologic to deliver sustainable profitable growth for our business.We are currently seeking a highly motivated accounting manager for our manufacturing and supply chain sites in EMEA. This role is crucial in leading the accounting processes for our operations business for multiple EMEA entities ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the financial reporting.In this role you will join a team of 5 reporting to the senior finance managerwho values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. If you thrive in a supportive and dynamic work environment, this is the job for you!KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Drive personal growth and development of 1 direct reportManage all inventory accounting across our EMEA entities ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standardsReview and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with SOX requirements. Lead and complete all inventory SOX reporting, ensuring zero control deficienciesOwn the month end close process ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting including hands on approach during the close periodsBe the key contact for financial audits, both internal and external ensuring the necessary compliance with regulatory requirementsPartner with the wider operations finance team and commercial FP&A to understand key cost drivers impacting gross marginLead continuous improvements in financial accounting processesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEFully qualified or CIMA/ACCA/ACA QualifiedAttention to detail with working through large volumes of data to ensure accurate financial reportingHighly organized, diligent and structured with the ability to work to tight deadlinesAbility to provide guidance, support and development opportunities to help team members reach full potential. Accounting supervising experience is highly desirableProblem solving abilities, for addressing month end related challenges and proactive approach in working to resolve any issuesExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
