Description
The key responsibilities of an Accountant will include, but may not be limited to;
- Preparing financial statements and reports
- Managing budgets and forecasts
- Conducting financial analysis and audits
- Assisting in the development of financial policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Collaborating with various department heads for budgeting and strategic planning
- Providing financial advice and guidance to management and board members
- Overseeing and mentoring junior accounting staff
Profile
A successful Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role in the Not for Profit and Charities background
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
- Ability to commute to Cheadle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative approach and team spirit
