Accountant

We are looking for a dedicated and diligent Accountant to join our not-for-profit team. The ideal candidate should have strong financial knowledge, be able to work independently, and be a team player.

Description

The key responsibilities of an Accountant will include, but may not be limited to;

• Preparing financial statements and reports
• Managing budgets and forecasts
• Conducting financial analysis and audits
• Assisting in the development of financial policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Collaborating with various department heads for budgeting and strategic planning
• Providing financial advice and guidance to management and board members
• Overseeing and mentoring junior accounting staff

Profile

A successful Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in a similar role in the Not for Profit and Charities background
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
• Ability to commute to Cheadle
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative approach and team spirit
