An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified/part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant for the Hull site of a large European company. Candidates need to have demonstrable all round accounting skills including the preparation of both management and financial accounts. Hybrid working options are available. Qualified by experience candidates are welcome to apply.
THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Financial Controller and with a small accounts team to supervise the role will include:
Monthly preparation of management accounts & information observing strict reporting deadlines.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Monthly P&L review and analysis
Collate and analyse data used for accounting estimates & provisions
Preparation of weekly cash-flow statements
Perform month-end and year-end close
Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts
Liaise with external auditors and timely resolution of queries & requests
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Respond to ad-hoc financial queries by gathering & interpreting data
Create and compile KPI reports, knowledge of Power BI an advantage
THE CANDIDATE:
You are an experienced ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified/part qualified/qualified by experience accountant with broad based skills and looking for a really varied role
A competent Excel user, you are confident with systems generally and would welcome being part of the implementation of a new ERP system to be completed in 2026. Strong analytical and investigative skills are essential
If part qualified and studying ACCA/CIMA, study support would be available to assist in completing your qualification
