Accountant required. Our client, renowned local experts in Taxation, Corporate Finance, Audit, and Accounting, is actively seeking a dynamic Accountant to join their customer-focused team. Position Overview - Accountant

Ideal candidates will have a background in a practice environment, possessing the confidence to navigate financial responsibilities across a broad industry portfolio. This position is tailor-made for a professional with a growth mindset, eager to thrive within a supportive and friendly workplace.

Key responsibilities - Accountant

  • Efficiently manage and coordinate a portfolio of key clients.
  • Ensure timely submission of all portfolio-related documents and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Prepare financial statements for Limited companies, LLPs, Charities, and management service companies.
  • Handle the preparation of corporation, personal, and partnership tax computations and returns.
  • Generate Management Accounts.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of VAT returns completed by the team.
  • Stay updated on the latest tax and accounting laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide proactive advice to clients regarding upcoming changes in accountancy and tax for effective planning and execution.
  • Foster effective communication both internally and externally at all levels.
  • Cultivate ongoing, positive relationships with clients through in-person and electronic correspondence.

Qualifications - Accountant

  • Significant prior experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualifications or qualified by experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage & Xero.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy in working with and analysing various financial information.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Remuneration - Accountant

  • Full time, requiring 37.5 hours per week
  • Hybrid working opportunities - 2/3 days at home per week
  • 20 days holiday inclusive of 3 days at Christmas plus bank holidays
  • Extra 5 days holiday once reached senior level
  • Extra day holiday once reached 3 years
  • Standard pension scheme
  • Immediate start available
