Accountant

Accountant required. Our client is a well-respected accountancy practice based in the North East of England. Due to recent growth, my client is looking to bring an accountant to join their successful and friendly team.

The suitable candidate will have experience in management and statutory accounts, and holds their AAT level 4 professional qualification as a minimum, or 2-3 years-experience working in a practice environment.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT and be able to work well within a team. You will be expected to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workloads accordingly

Accountant Position Overview

• Prepare VAT returns for a variety of clients
• Produce management accounts for a variety of clients
• Prepare year-end accounts and corporation tax computations
• Review client records, advising on any improvements that could be made
• Build a successful rapport with clients and staff
• Ensuring all work is maintained the highest possible standard

Accountant Position Requirements

• 2-3 years working in an accountancy practice
• Experience using sage and/or Xero (desirable)
• Competent with Microsoft Excel
• Clean driving license
• Flexible and highly organised
• A team player
