Accountant (Group Reporting)

OverviewElement has an opportunity for a Group Reporting Accountant to join and strengthen a best-in-class finance function. The role is a permanent position and is a great opportunity to develop your career within a global business and drive value to the team.The role will work within the Group Reporting & Financial Control team and requires partnering with various key finance stakeholders cross-border, stakeholders would include Group FP&A and finance systems, tax, shared service centre finance teams and local finance contacts worldwide.ResponsibilitiesThe role will also give direct access to the Group Finance Director with key elements of the role to include:Assisting with the preparation of the year end glossy annual report in conjunction with Group Communications teamAssisting with implementing financial controls and process improvements across the wider GroupAssisting with month end reporting, including the review and reporting of Group IFRS resultsSupporting with the interpretation of IFRS standards together with the application of judgement to determine recommendations on accounting treatmentSupporting with M&AsSupporting the Head of Reporting & Financial Control with the year-end audit in providing information requested by the external auditorsOffering proactive resolution of accounting queries from Shared Service Centres and local finance teamsSkills / QualificationsRecognised professional accounting qualification (e.g ACA, CPA, ACCA), with some post qualification experienceExperience working within a professional accounting practiceExperience with financial controls and processesGood understanding of all IFRS technical accounting standards is required for this roleFlexible and comfortable with a transformation settingSelf-starter with ability to work autonomously, on own initiativeExperience working in a multi-currency environment and a global businessExperience with Consolidation and Group reporting#LI-JM2Diversity StatementAt Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
