Accountant - Financial Reconciliations (hybrid)

Commercial Accountant / Southport (Hybrid working) / Salary £50,000 - £60,000

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Accountant to join our clients growing Finance team!
Our client is a very successful PE backed group, who have a fantastic reputation within their sector. They now have an opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Accountant to take a lead role, reporting and working with the MD on one of their growing entities.
This is a broad and varied hands-on position where you will play a critical role in the financial management of your entity. Working closely with the MD you will provide insightful analysis and support business decision-making.
Management accounts preparation – you will prepare and present monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecasts, providing detailed explanations for discrepancies.
Develop and maintain financial models.
Business Partnering – you will be working closely with the MD of your entity to provide financial support and insights to drive performance and profitability of your entity.
You will assist with the financial and scenario modelling to support the review of new product launches and commercial pricing analysis.
You will provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions.
Monitor product (KPIs) and financial metrics, and report on financial performance.
Prepare and submit VAT and corporation tax returns.
Support with other ad hoc group finance projects.
This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
Strong Excel skills with data manipulation and financial modelling
Power BI experience would be desirable.
