Full Job Title: Accountancy Manager
Salary Range: £40,000 to £46,000 per annum
Location: Newport
Contract type: Full time, permanent
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
As a leading independent accountancy practice undergoing continued growth, we are seeking an Accountancy Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accountant or candidates qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience in a similar role will be considered for this position.

Qualities and experience required:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Accountancy Manager role, focusing on the use of Sage and Xero within a UK-based context. The role demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to ensure the effective management of the companys financial operations.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the UK
Extensive experience with Sage and Xero accounting software.
Strong understanding of UK accounting regulations and standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
What can you expect:
Oversee daily financial operations and manage the accounting team.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities.
I mplement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
Achieving department and individual performance objectives.
Managing administration of clients, including budgets, WIP and timely billing.
Maintaining the highest technical and professional standards.
Leadership:
Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team.
Conduct performance reviews and support continuous improvement.
Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as a point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records through continuous review and improvement of accounting processes.
