To support our growth strategy, we are on the immediate look-out for a dynamic, key Account Manager who can take personal accountability for managing all aspects of Global Services business relationship with our customers.

Purpose of the role
Manage a portfolio of Global's worldwide customers; helping them source goods across all departments.
Work with our buying team and our international supply chain to ensure orders arrive on time and are shipped within deadlines.
Building lasting relationships with clients via telephone, email and face to face.
To develop your existing portfolio, on-boarding new departments and maximising their spend.
To proactively reach out to inactive customers and onboard new business.

Key Responsibilities
Process all customer enquiries, quotes and orders ensuring customer needs are correctly interpreted, identifying the right products to sell.
Process purchase orders on suppliers, ensuring best pricing, delivery and terms.
Monitor deliveries from suppliers and advise customers on a regular basis of the delivery progress with their orders.
Work closely with our Buyers and Logistics teams in the UK and Netherlands, ensuring work is delegated effectively with clear deliverables and communication between colleagues.
Proactive follow up of all quotes to maximise conversion to orders.
Proactive outbound targeting of new and/or dormant customers to re-engage with them and grow the business.
Identify new areas of business and target accordingly (i.e. offer services to other departments on-board).
Co-operate across teams, from sales to warehouse and accounts, to ensure the best end-to-end service is offered to customers throughout their journey with us.
Learn and develop new skills and attend training specified by the company.
Keep up to date on proposed legislation and its impact on our customers and suppliers.
Attend trade shows, visit customers and shipyards in the UK and internationally when required.

Personal Specification:
Sales and/or Account Management experience.
High capability for building rapport and developing strong customer relationships.
Excellent all-round communication skills.
Great time management and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload.
Attention to detail.
Intuitive to customer needs.
Negotiation skills.
Passion for excellent customer service and to develop and build client relationships.
IT literate with experience of Outlook, Word and Excel and the ability to learn new systems.
Thirst for knowledge of market trends/intel.
Knowledge of, or desire to get to know the maritime industry.

Wage, Working Hours & Benefits
Salary up to c.£27k plus monthly commission and incentives.
Mon- Fri, 8:00-17:00 with 1 hour for lunch and morning and afternoon break.
Based at our friendly office in Exeter.
25 days' holiday, plus Bank Holidays and your birthday off. Option to buy and sell an extra 5 days of holiday each year.
