Leading gifting,
on the search for
an Account Manager.
This is a permanent role based in
The Northwest of England.
As the
Account Manager,
you will focus primarily on our convenience customers, effectively advocating for their needs and serving as their primary liaison within the business for an estimated duration of 12 months. In this pivotal role, you will cultivate and nurture relationships with relevant retailer buyers and commercial contacts, ensuring the seamless execution of proactive and collaborative joint business plans. By consistently delivering operational excellence, you will leverage your expertise to negotiate and finalise lucrative business agreements, integrating data and insights across sales, service levels, and category performance into your strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for the customer, managing both immediate and long-term relationships effectively.
Develop and execute day-to-day business plans, employing diverse solutions to optimise profitability and minimise costs.
Identify, address, and resolve commercial, operational, and seasonal challenges to deliver profitable solutions.
Drive the achievement of internal annual operating plans, aligning sales, profitability, and operational targets with customer objectives.
Support the implementation of overarching plans, contractual commitments, joint business plans, and overall business objectives.
Influence cross-functional teams and advocate for customer needs internally, contributing to strategic alignment and range development.
Lead weekly alignment meetings, conduct post-implementation reviews, and facilitate update meetings with support from the broader team.
Contribute to the development and mentoring of team members.
Take ownership of personal development and continuous learning opportunities.
What are we looking for?
Previous experience in Account Management, with expertise in new business development.
Successful track record of working with UK convenience retailers and achieving deliverables.
Proficiency in negotiation and storytelling, guiding customers, and stakeholders through the journey.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, effectively utilizing data to influence decisions.
Deep understanding of the grocery retail market and its influencing factors.
Exceptional relationship management and communication skills adaptable to diverse stakeholders.
High level of commercial acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and comfort with ambiguity.
