An exciting Account Manager opportunity for candidatestoo join a world leading Engineer business in Sheffield. The business are currently in a period of growth and investment and are therefore unrivaled in terms of career development and earning potential.
This is a pivotal role that will be responsible forensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and representing the company in various forums.
Key Responsibilities:
Work autonomously to drive business growth through the conversion of enquiries into orders and actively promoting the company in the marketplace.
Develop key accounts and strategic partnerships while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Maximise order value, frequency, profit, and payment terms to meet and exceed sales targets.
Identify and capitalise on business development opportunities.
Administer enquiries, quotations, and order entries efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Field Sales, Planning, Production, Quality, and Technical departments.
Conduct regular customer visits, attend exhibitions, and participate in networking events to expand our market presence.
Perform sales order review procedures and ensure thorough compliance with export regulations.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, fostering strong relationships and understanding their unique needs.
Plan and participate in customer visits, trade shows, and networking events both domestically and internationally.
Provide coverage for other sector/customer accounts during holidays and sick leaves, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
Generate and distribute order status reports and sales reports to relevant stakeholders.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of engineering markets, production processes, and technical specifications.
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
Proven experience in account management within the engineering / manufacturing industry.
Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Familiarity with export regulations and compliance procedures.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
