Account Manager

Job Overview
Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, the Key Account Manager will undertake key duties in support of both Mitie's and our customers' transitions to increase recycling across the portfolio.
Working within our Managing Agent services business they will support colleagues with service delivery to meet the client recycling objectives, collaborate with our group sustainability team, and assist customers with audits, report writing and advice, sometimes working at the customer's site.
The Key Account Manager will also maintain up to date recycling strategies and be prepared to undertake detailed research into delivering initiatives and develop technical and marketing information to support our objectives.
Main Duties
Prepare and deliver waste strategies to property managers.
Maintain up to date records of budget costs whilst delivering cost savings.
Assist finance teams to invoice and reduce debtor days.
Work with experienced waste managers and advise them on best environmental outcomes
Provide cost amendments and advice to our customers.
Undertake customer audits, advise on best practice and write reports.
Maintain up to date services across a wide portfolio whilst engaging helpdesk teams to support.
Support on detailed research projects.
Investigate new technologies and initiatives and keep up to date with circular solutions.
Help shape business responses to current and emerging environmental and social initiatives.
What we are looking for
A passion for the environment, and an interest in sustainability and the circular economy
Analytical thinking, with proficient MS office and IT capabilities
A versatile and comfortable communicator, both written and verbal
Strong written English language skills
An organiser, with effective time management and prioritisation capabilities
Ability to negotiate with and influence stakeholders
Industry experience preferable but not essential
