Location : Reading
Salary : £30,000 – £35,000 + £6,000 Commission + Benefits
Hours : Monday to Thursday 7am to 5pm and Friday 7am to 5:30pm
My client who are based in Reading are looking for an Account Manager to join their team. The Account Manager role provides a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success as the business continues an exciting growth plan. This is a pivotal role within each of our local markets and provides opportunity for both developing existing accounts and new business development contribution as we look to further strengthen our market presence. The ideal candidate will have experience working within in Account Management and will enjoy building rapport with customers on a daily basis
Daily Duties
Oversee, manage, and develop a defined portfolio of existing customer accounts through outbound sales activity
Manage the growth and development of company key accounts in line with business growth goals
Provide point-of-contact resource to support both existing and newly acquired customer enquiries
Identify new business opportunities within local territories and work with the local and regional team to secure new business wins in line with company sales goals
Undertake and generate company sales performance reports as required to local management group
Provide resource across inbound call management and customer enquiries and requests
Obtain and manage hire enquiries and orders
Research, develop and deliver customer account proposals and agreements

Capable of developing strong client relationships
Confidence to work on own initiative
Good planning and preparation skills
Flexible in approach to the role to meet business requirements
Presentation skills, both verbally and written
Self-Confident
Negotiating skills essential
Time management essential
Competent levels of IT understanding
Proven experience in selling products & services to end user
Entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to work effectively under pressure
