Salary : to £28k basic + uncapped commission - c £40k OTE

Aspire Jobs are working exclusively with our client who is a growing business with the FMCG sector and whom are very passionate about their sector - food and drinks! Now looking to strengthen their team by appointing an Account Manager. The Account Manager will be field based, but with the ability to travel to Ringwood at least once per week. They deal with premium brands such as Harrods, Selfridge's and John Lewis and sell their products across the globe. Most of the leads come from lead generation online rather than cold calling, but you must be comfortable with an element of cold sales, although 85% of the role will be account managing. This is not a scripted role, so you must be strong enough to develop your own relationships.
The successful Account Manager will:-
Drive, have a cleanish licence and be over 25 (for insurance reasons)
Have previous Sales or Account Management experience (min 2 years)
Have a desire to succeed and hit targets on a regular basis
Have a love of coffee, fitness and wellbeing
Have experience ideally of using a CRM but must be IT literate at the least
Have superb communication skills both over the phone, email and face to face
Be happy to be field based working across the SW
Have experience of following up warm leads, but also have some exp of cold calling
Be happy to attend customer events and our clients own events
Be commercially astute
Have a good eye for detail - any visual merchandising experience would be great but is not essential
Field Based £28,000.00 Reference: Account Manager
Apply Now Job Description Reporting directly to the Sales Director you will be responsible for increasing sales across the current account base as well as following up on leads for new accounts. This will include retail partners across multiple channels and sectors from department stores to health and beauty outlets. The role will be focused on driving business growth inline with company targets as well as executing brand marketing activities to gain exposure in retail outlets across the country. As part of a small team you will be responsible for organising, activating and executing trade marketing events and visiting retail partners to provide merchandising support. You will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities and then, working with the sales director, develop a strategy to attract and on-board new customers. You will also be given exposure to the national account business and offer account level support for the sales director.
Role Specifics
Accountability for sales growth and range expansion in your dedicated accounts
Monitor account level sales and ensure monthly targets are achieved
Be the first point of contact for your customer base and provide touchpoints by email, telephone calls and visits
Identify new business opportunities and follow up on new leads
Process orders and complete sales administration for your account base (supported by office administrator)
Visit your customers to propose new ranges and show new products
Attend trade shows and retailer events
Log all daily customer account activity on the CRM system and update sales deals
