Our client are a drinks brand who sit very heavily within the health and wellbeing sector. They have won some very exciting and big accounts within the sporting sector.
Purpose of the position:
To drive and increase the brands performance within the Grocery channel alongside gaining new listings with major grocery multiples
Responsibilities:
Ownership for managing top 4 grocery accounts in the UK and several other smaller accounts across 8 core SKUs (Electrolyte, ElectrolytePro, Protein 10g, ProteinPro) Gain listings within key grocery accounts that the company is not already listed in Expanding the brands visibility across the retailers and ensuring the relations with existing accounts are strong and growing the current listings to be in larger landscapes within the retailers Developing joint business plans, forecasting and promotional planning Setting the commercial strategy for your accounts an inputting on strategic decisions within the commercial function Working cross functionally with the category, creative and marketing team to drive growth Driving brands awareness and penetration Analyze market trends and competitor activity within the sports drink category to identify growth opportunities within grocery retail Utilize data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making, optimize pricing and promotions, and track progress towards achieving sales targets Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key grocery chain personnel including buyers, category managers, and marketing teams to secure new listings, optimize promotional opportunities, and ensure successful product placement
What we are looking for:
A confident, high calibre (Senior) National Account Manager with experience of managing grocery accounts - 3+ years proven success with high level exposure to the ‘right way’ of doing things Own ‘black book’ of grocery contacts Excellent written, verbal communication and influencing skills An individual that can have fun along the way and represent our brand values Ability to think creatively and strategically with a growth mindset Proven sales experience with a track record of hitting targets Knowledge of commercial and office software (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) Team player with ability to collaborate effectively across departments Good understanding of health and wellness trends Other information:
Salary range: GBP 60k+ (dependent on experience) Performance based bonus, medical insurance, petrol allowance Learning allowance to progress your skills in relevant areas Working hours: Mon to Fri, 08:30 – 16:30 (hybrid working model though preference for 4 days in office) Office location: Debden, Essex (on Central Line) Reporting structure: Head of Sales Travel: As required throughout the UK to visit key partners
