Field-Based Sales Account Manager (Gas Detection / Analysis Systems)

£45-50K with £65,000 OTE

Are you a high energy, field-based Sales Account Manager with a solid track record in the gas detection sector looking for a new challenge?

We’re excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client, an award-winning, independent and innovative producer of premier gas detection equipment trusted by businesses across the globe, who’s currently expanding their established, expert team.

Serving a national and international client base, you’ll be responsible for identifying and seizing opportunities to promote a range of gas detection solutions - from system provision to comprehensive turnkey installations and sustained service support. You’ll be supported by a dynamic marketing team, targeting both new accounts and existing customers, covering Eastern and Southern UK (broadly Birmingham to London, Oxford to Cambridge).

Key duties will include:

Identifying and developing relationships with new and existing customers by demonstrating strategic insights and exceptional product knowledge
Acting as a subject matter expert, demonstrating confidence in delivering technical presentations and customer negotiations
Conducting onsite customer surveys and generating quotations whilst collaborating with the Engineering & Service teams to ensure understanding of customer requirements
Taking a strategic and self-managed approach to achieving KPIs and expanding our market presence into new and identified channels
Coordinating appointments, response to customer requests, CRM maintenance and report production

Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate:

Solid track record in B2B field sales
Previous experience or understanding of gas detection / analysis systems or related solutions
Strong relationship-building and client-management skills
Expert communicator and negotiator
Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel

In return, you’ll receive

£45-55,000 basic salary depending on experience
Uncapped bonus (£10-15,000 first year expected OTE)
