An experienced Account Manager / Business Development Manager is needed to join our team at Mobile Data Collection to work in our offices in Swallowfield on a full-time basis.



This role offers an excellent earning potential with an OTE of £50,000+, along with paid travel, extra cash, and 30 days of holidays!



We currently have a worldwide client base of over 8,000 customers and contacts, which we are continually building upon. We offer state-of-the-art Auto ID/data scanning hardware (scanners, printers, tablets, handhelds) from all the main manufacturers.



Success in this role hinges on your ability to build enduring client relationships and your ambition to excel in your career. You will need to achieve monthly sales targets by capitalising on existing and onboarding new clients by confidently selling our services and products. You need to have enthusiasm for the IT industry and dedication to thrive in our business

Mobile Data Collection Ltd is your modern and passionate global Auto-ID specialist. Our mission is to provide tailormade, sustainable Auto-ID solutions.



Auto ID technology is a niche market and an essential part of the retail, logistics, public sector and healthcare sectors. Barcodes and Auto-ID Technology are used everywhere, from defining products to tracking goods, even tracking blood.



This technology essentially digitalises the manual workflow processes to eliminate human and manual errors.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Daily management of existing customers, with growth expectations

  • ‘Warm lead’ calling, telesales to existing clients, and cold calling new clients

  • Database management and sales project management

  • Build a pipeline of project-based deals

  • Representing the organisation at trade shows, exhibitions, and events to generate leads

  • Face-to-face selling and customer visits across the UK

  • Reaching your daily call rate target

  • Take ownership of current non-managed accounts within the UK

  • To carry out any other reasonable duty as may be required



Required Skills:




  • Able to demonstrate extensive account management experience

  • Able to demonstrate experience in developing and delivering sales strategies that positively impact business development

  • Experience in analysing sales data, being proactive in anticipating needs and seeking opportunities to add value

  • Responsive to requests; adept at flexing communication style to different individuals

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, experience of successfully building lasting relationships and influencing and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Able to manage a range of simultaneous diverse activities and projects

  • Experience of managing and developing client relationship management systems

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Excellent IT skills with experience of working with a range of database and network infrastructures

  • Full valid driving licence

  • Fluent in English. Or bilingual French, Italian or Dutch is of advantage.
