About the Role:
Our site in Carlisle employs around 1200 people and specialises in the production of a wide range of chilled ready meals for major retail customers. It's a dynamic, fast-paced environment offering plenty of variety and you'd be joining a business offering plenty of opportunities to develop and progress.
Working as part of a busy, supportive commercial team, you'll gain exposure to all parts of the business and experience of working with some of our biggest customers. It is a varied role and some of your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Commercial Manager and Commercial Controller in the day-to-day management of customer accounts.
Becoming a 'data expert' - analysing sales data, producing reports and forecasts, and preparing information for P&L and monthly performance reviews.
Monitoring and reporting on promotional activity.
Developing strong relationships with our customers, advising of commercial related matters such as new product listings and cost changes.
About You:
This is a great opportunity to join a leading food business and we're keen to hear from anybody with the following skills and experience:
Previous sales or commercial experience, ideally gained in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels.
Good attention to detail and sound analytical skills, able to analyse, interpret, and report on sales/commercial data.
Ideally, experience and understanding of P&L.
Strong MS Office experience (particularly Excel & PowerPoint) - SAP experience would be ideal but isn't essential.
