Account Director (B2B Tech: Integrated Marketing & PR)

We’re looking for an experienced and B2B Tech specialist
with more than 7 years experience to join our fast-growing, supportive team and work across key client accounts – global enterprise companies, high growth tech companies and venture capital firms in the US, UK and EMEA.
As a member of our team, you’ll work on client accounts of companies that are breaking new ground on technology, developing and executing growth marketing, global PR and thought leadership campaigns. Everyday is dynamic and different.
We come together as team regularly in London for company get-togethers, client meetings and industry events. International travel is required from time to time.

What we're hiring for
We're looking for an Account Director who has the confidence and experience to guide clients, interfacing with CEOs, founders and seasoned marketers. Ideal candidates will have deep experience of PR; established media relationships in tech, business and investment press; and a stellar ability to quickly foster new relationships quickly depending on client needs. They will also have experience delivering integrated marketing services – from messaging and positioning, content generation, market research, social and events - scoping work and winning new business.

Experience:
Proven PR experience working in an agency or in-house – B2B technology PR experience is a must-have
Understands how to elevate tech stories from trade press to tier one media & broadcast
Confident ensuring client accounts run smoothly and executing campaigns
Great team manager, but willing to roll sleeves up and get involved in activation where required
Strong network of media relationships and ability to craft compelling stories that journalists want to cover
Able to spot opportunities, identify angles and provide sound strategic counsel to clients
Experience of delivering integrated campaigns spanning PR and marketing services that drive client objectives
Skills:
Superb written and verbal communication skills
Broad understanding of and deep interest in the tech industry, the media landscape and the dynamics of tech company growth
Quick study – able to develop subject matter expertise quickly, simplifying the complex to communicate it to client customers and the media
Familiar with industry tools including media databases and coverage reporting
Organised, process-driven with attention to detail always
Understands why data and reporting results is key to the success of client accounts – loves showing our success in numbers
Team management skills with an ability to upskill more junior members of the team
Understands that we're in the business of client service - instils this mindset in others
Says what they are going to do, does what they say, then says they've done it
Role Requirements:
Primary point of contact on key client accounts
Client facing, pitching ideas, helping the client get past what they think they want and to what we know they need
Works closely with MD, Commercial team and Associate Directors on planning new business lead-gen and on pitches
Responsible for ensuring team secure quality editorial coverage
Executive-friendly briefings for clients to ensure they make the most of media opportunities
Mapping, agreeing and fulfilling the client’s key performance indicators
Core part of new business team
Responsibility for growing existing client accounts
Working closely with our editorial and marketing team to get content delivered, on-message and on-time
Works with Marketing Manager and Account Directors to lead the development of next-level, dynamic case studies
On top of awards and events – creating client visibility
Planning with management team to ensure we continue to surprise and delight our clients
Takes a leadership role in the agency, developing our internal processes, bringing in new platforms, software and solutions to make us more efficient / productive as an agency

Team player but able to work independently to achieve goals
Leadership qualities and able to share expertise with more junior reports
Great interpersonal skills - even when working remote and over Zoom
Excited about opportunities to be a spokesperson for agency - video, events, thought leadership and PR - raising agency's profile with big ideas that differentiate us from everyone else
Curious about technology and what makes our clients’ companies tick
Great understanding of how businesses scale – from early-stage venture capital backed start-ups, to scale-ups and enterprise giants.
Creative - able to find interesting angles that cut through to key audiences
Able to delegate to or support others where required
Highly motivated, focused on delivering results for the client and the agency
Reporting
Reports to Associate Partner
Works with Account Executives, Account Managers and other Associate Directors / Account Directors
Uses central resource of Marketing & Production & local PR teams as required to deliver services to clients
PAYE position:
Roles available full time (4 or 5 days per week)
Salary depending on experience
Flexible hours (anytime within our core office hours of 08.00 - 20.00)
Primarily home-office based, with ability to meet in our London office or client offices when necessary
Opportunity to travel internationally to support client events
£500 p.a. personal budget for training & career development
