Accommodation needs officer

Redbridge council are looking for an accommodation needs officer to socialize in the carrying out accommodation suitability assessments of households accommodation needs under homeless prevention and relief duties for mainstream temporary accommodation provision and private sector discharge.

To carry out the full range of duties to provide housing advice, prevent and assess homelessness. within this context to provide a specific focus on accommodation suitability assessment.
to work with customers offered accommodation to consider it in the context of their options.
To deal with the decision making aspect of refusals of suitable accommodation, discharging the homeless duty where appropriate and issuing decision letter to that effect.
