We are currently recruiting for an Accessible Accessible Vehicle Technical Manager to join our team in Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be part of the wider Accessible Vehicles team and will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver against our mission to ensure customers with high access needs can choose affordable, accessible, and tailored mobility solutions.As Accessible Vehicle Technical Manager your role will be to assist the Operations Manager, Field team and Head of Accessible Vehicles with technical insight and deliver some key projects which will ensure we can achieve our mission.You will work collaboratively and in partnership across the business (Customer Services, Vehicle Solutions, Pricing & Asset Risk, Finance) to deliver an excellent service to all customers and partners.Key responsibilities:Proactively review and manage SMR costs and create proposals to minimise spend whilst protecting customer experience.Support with reporting within the department and identify trends and share with wider team with well thought out options of potential solutions.Own and manage multiple projects and keep key stakeholders up to date with progress.Be informed and up to date on current and future legislation that impacts Accessible Vehicles.Take an active role in ensuring we are up to date with all technical information relating to our vehicles and adaptations to support with better decisions about suitability and compatibility.Representative for AVAM and WAVCA with any technical issues and work with field team on collective responses.Be the central knowledge base of the operations team for all things technical, relating to Accessible Vehicles.ABOUT YOUEnjoy an ever-changing environment, knowing that each day is different, and you’ll be prepared to create solutions for the challenges you encounter.In depth knowledge of all our customer products including WAV, nearly new WAV, bespoke products (BPS, IT & DFW) and adaptations.Effective communication skills, oral, written, presentation, influencing and negotiations.Ability to think and act commercially.Naturally challenges the status quo to ensure we are fit for purpose.Be able to demonstrate resilience whilst under pressure and be able to solve issues in a logical manner.Take full ownership of problems.Comfortable sharing knowledge and be willing to take on board other people’s ideas.Be able to facilitate and provide technical support with the launch of new products.Support field team to ensure our products are fit for purpose and user friendly.Work with internal teams to ensure our website has up to date specifications about vehicles and adaptations.Reliable and accountable, with an agile approach to work, that ensures deliverables are met within defined timescales.Ability to represent us at some external
meetings/exhibitions.
