Whether it is through our expert instructors, state-of-the-art facilities, or extensive network of industry connections, Victoria College of Arts and Design is dedicated to helping our students achieve their goals and build successful career.Position Overview:VCAD is seeking an experienced and motivated Academic Recruitment Manager to lead the recruitment efforts aimed at attracting talented academic professionals to join our institution. Based in London, the Academic Recruitment Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing recruitment strategies, establishing partnerships with academic communities, and ensuring the successful onboarding of new faculty members.Key Responsibilities:Recruitment Strategy Development:· Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract exceptional academic talent across various disciplines, including fine arts, design, media, and more.· Collaborate with senior management and department heads to identify staffing needs and establish recruitment priorities aligned with VCAD's academic goals and objectives.· Utilize market research and industry insights to inform recruitment strategies and adapt approaches to attract diverse and high-quality candidates.Candidate Sourcing and Engagement:· Proactively source and identify potential candidates through a variety of channels, including online platforms, professional networks, academic conferences, and industry events.· Cultivate relationships with prospective candidates, providing them with information about career opportunities at VCAD and engaging them in discussions about our academic programs and culture.· Conduct outreach activities and participate in networking events to promote VCAD as an employer of choice and build a strong talent pipeline.Selection Process Management:· Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for academic positions, including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and facilitating selection committees.· Collaborate closely with hiring managers and department heads to assess candidate suitability, evaluate credentials, and make informed hiring decisions.· Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely communication, feedback, and support throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to offer acceptance.Employer Branding and Promotion:· Develop and implement strategies to enhance VCAD's employer brand and reputation within the academic community, highlighting our commitment to innovation, creativity, and excellence.· Create compelling recruitment materials, including job postings, advertisements, and promotional content, to attract top talent and differentiate VCAD as a leading arts and design institution.· Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to leverage digital platforms, social media channels, and other communication channels for recruitment purposes.Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:· Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, academic departments, and senior leadership, to align recruitment efforts with VCAD's strategic objectives and academic priorities.· Serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance on recruitment best practices, talent acquisition strategies, and market trends.· Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including academic institutions, industry associations, and professional organizations, to expand VCAD's network and reach within the academic community.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Arts Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.· Proven experience in academic recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR management, preferably within a higher education or arts institution.· Strong understanding of academic hiring processes, faculty recruitment practices, and tenure-track appointments.· Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract diverse talent pools and achieve recruitment goals.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, communicate persuasively, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.· Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented approach to achieving recruitment objectives.· Familiarity with recruitment technologies, applicant tracking systems, and online sourcing tools.· Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to recruitment and selection processes.Location:This position is based in London, United Kingdom, with occasional travel required for conferences, events, and recruitment activities.VCAD is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
