Position at EF International Language Campuses-Summer Camps
Academic Manager(Full-Time, Fixed-Term)
The candidate should be able to take initiative, be highly driven, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and like working in a dynamic, energetic and fast-paced and fun team. This role focuses on the welfare and satisfaction of students and host families taking part in the EF Cambridge: Clare College Summer School.
About the role:
In this role you will assume overall responsibility for the Academic aspects of the Centre, support the teaching staff and ensure a high level of customer service and student satisfaction.
Your key tasks will consist of, but not be limited to:
Setting up the school and physically ensuring all classrooms meet EF specifications and are maintained throughout the season.
Coordinating timetables for all academic groups and liaising with the Centre Manager to complete intake schedules and fill classes with students by using EF's production system 'Elektra'.
Allocating teachers and classrooms to groups of students and playing a 'hands on' role in allocating students into classes on the first days in school.
Managing academic stock including exam papers, certificates and equipment and making sure teaching team has required stock when they need to have it.
Managing all teaching staff at your Centre and working together with Activities Manager and Centre Manager to ensure 'one team' and full integration of teaching staff into team.
Delivering initial teacher briefing, weekly meetings and daily 'scrum' meetings.
Teacher observations, feedback and development.
Collating and reviewing academic paperwork, and inputting data into EF's production system 'Elektra'.
Welfare and discipline within the classroom.
Dealing with problems and emergency situations should they arise.
Requirements:
Either a CELTA, or PGCE/ B.Ed. with knowledge of EFL/EAL.
Qualifications due to be completed in the current academic year will also be considered.
Minimum six months teaching experience or one summer teaching for EF.
Can demonstrate organizational skills and an operational mindset.
Enthusiastic, upbeat and a natural leader.
Capable of using your own initiative.
Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
Complete fluency in English.
