Overview of the business:
ABCo are an established British manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders, pumps power packs which are supplied to the agricultural, construction, marine and medical industries throughout the UK, Europe and Scandinavia
In addition, we manufacture a range of pit jacks for heavy goods vehicles and are the UK main distributor for a range of complimentary garage and fuel delivery equipment.
We are based at our factory in Southwell, Nottinghamshire.
Job Purpose:
Customer facing sales and customer support role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer facing role with all elements of sales and customer support including the following :-
* Telephone sales , contacting new and existing customers to promote the range of products and introducing new sales leads
* Web sales , ensuring product listings are correct and assisting with the updating of information and accuracy of key words and targeting potential customers
* Social media , assisting in creating and developing links to our web site and posting new product information to generate greater brand awareness
* Sales and competitor analysis , assisting in monitoring and improving our market position in relation to product position and pricing
* Sales promotion and advertising, assisting with the generation of new targeted sales campaigns in all medias
* Customer support , assisting with product advice , help providing pricing and delivery information and any other customer
The following skills will be developed:
You will get the opportunity to develop skills within sales, customer service/support as well as more general communication, organisation and team working skills.

They are looking to update the business in terms of social media and marketing and they are looking for someone that can potentially carve a role for themselves which will encompass this.
Potential to have a full time permanent role at the end of the placement.
Skills & Experience:
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* Good working knowledge of IT systems and practical computer skills
* Pleasant telephone manner and the ability to talk clearly to customers
* Good knowledge of social media
* Marketing skills would be a bonus.
*A little bit of sales exposure would be an advantage, ideally face to face.
* Ability to use initiative and judgement in problem solving
* A quick learner and not afraid to ask for help
* Good inter – personal skills and the ability to work with a small, friendly team
Essential Qualifications:
Need to be literate and numerate, good telephone manner, pick up things easily and can work independently at times.
