A dynamic and innovative broadcasting business operates across three main sites in the UK and Washington DC, USA. With a data center based in Slough, they are at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge content to users. Here, network infrastructure is a vital component, ensuring seamless connectivity and robust security.The company seeks a talented Senior Network Engineer to join its team. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing their network infrastructure, supporting both day-to-day operations and exciting upcoming projects.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain network infrastructure across multiple sites, including Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Corporate Network, Arista Video Network (Multicast), Aruba Wi-Fi, and Clearpass NAC.Take ownership of 40% of business-as-usual (BAU) tasks and 60% of project-based work with a focus on network consolidation, DWDM panels, network standardization, Aruba Wireless, and Clearpass integration.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support network solutions that meet business requirements.Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.Ensure network security, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts.Maintain documentation, diagrams, and configurations to facilitate efficient network operations and future expansion.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer in a similar broadcast or enterprise environment.Strong proficiency with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco networking equipment, Arista switches, Aruba Wi-Fi, and Clearpass NAC.Hands-on experience with network consolidation, DWDM technology, and network standardization initiatives.Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues in a timely manner.Familiarity with broadcast technologies is highly desirable.Self-motivated with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to work two days per week in the company's London office.Salary and Benefits:This position offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.Additionally, a comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, pension contributions, and ample opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Join the Team:If you are a talented Senior Network Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic broadcasting environment, they encourage you to apply.
