Our Car Spares division is looking for an 8 Car Transporter Driverto join our expanding team working out of our Wokingham Depot.The ideal candidates will be hard-working, enthusiastic and reliable. This is a permanent role that offers great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in a supportive and thriving business.The driveris responsible for transporting vehicles from one location to another in a safe and timely mannerThe Role:Maintaining all required paperwork is completed in line with procedures and requirements.Load and unload cargo from the trailerFollow traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicleInspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working conditionMaintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transportation.Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise.Key SkillsAbility to work to a high level of accuracy with particular attention to detailExcellent customer service skills and telephone mannerEnthusiastic, efficient, well-motivated and a positive attitudeAbility to work as part of a small team with limited supervisionGood product knowledge upon completion of in-house trainingExcellent knowledge of Health & Safety working and be aware that this job is physically demanding with work mainly carried out outside.Timekeeping and attendance are essential to maintain customer demandsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordCommercial driving experienceAbility to operate different types of vehicles such as vans, flatbeds, or trucksMechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle if neededCompetitiveJob Type:Full-time, PermanentJob Location:Wokingham Send Us
